Expectations have also increased, thinking that as long as school work is done well and students are interested in learning, it can help reduce deviant behaviors among young people.

Huang,Fu-Yuan pointed out that according to the Criminal Police Bureau’s data, the number of juvenile offenders has shown a downward trend in recent years, but the public’s susceptibility to crime is still strong; the public is more concerned about youths encountering non-contact bullying such as verbal and online bullying than physical contact bullying. People are also more worried about self-injury violations such as youth addiction to the Internet and relying on mobile phones than crimes and other injury-type violations.

The Professor Huang Kun-huei Education Foundation stated that young people are in a stage of relatively unstable physical and mental, and are prone to emotional distress and behavioral problems. Affected by the external environment, they may lead to deviant behaviors or crimes. Most people think that if young people like to go to school, it will help reduce deviant behaviors. Therefore, the primary task of school teachers should be to make students like learning, give play to their strengths, and gain a sense of learning achievement.
