The Economy Daily Paper reported that Yunnan and Taiwan Student Innovation Competition Taiwan Wins Double Award on December 18, 2019.: The winners of the 2nd Yuntai Youth Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Finals announced on the 17th. Of the 20 colleges and universities on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the Taiwan team won two first prizes. Only three of the first prizes were from the Yunnan Normal University in mainland China. "Yunling Fruit Bamboo Shoots", Taiwan Fu Jen University "ABBY-RED", Ming Chuan University "Tianbo Miaoyin" team, each received a RMB 10,000 (NT $ 44,000) bonus. The second Yuntai Youth Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Tournament is a key exchange project of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. It is hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Yunnan Province and the Education Department. A total of 20 teams from universities in Yunnan and Taiwan participated in the competition.
