Department of Applied English at Ming Chuan University (MCU),
Taoyuan,
Taiwan is looking for 2 candidates at Assistant, Associate
or full
Professor level along the following lines:
(a) will have doctorate degree in English-related fields
in hand by July 2003,
(b) have good command of oral and written English,
(c) possess experience in teaching English Language Education,
Interpretation/ Translation or Applied
Linguistics,
(d) display research potential.
The teaching load for Asst. Professors is 10 hours per week;
for Assoc.
Professors, it is 9 hours. The monthly salary for Asst.
Professors is
approximately NT$65,000.00 (the exchange rate is about NT
35 to US$1).
Faculty are expected to fulfill some administrative duty
and support all
activities of MCU. They are also expected to teach courses
for additional
pay in the University Extension Program.
