Ming Chuan Advantages

MCU Location

Ming Chuan's Taipei Campus is located conveniently just a few minutes bus ride from Taipei's financial, business and shopping districts, near-by public transportation includes bus, mass rapid transit and taxi.

The Taoyuan Campus is located not far from the CKS International Airport and one of northern Taiwan's Industrial Parks. School transportation is provided by bus to the local train station and public bus stops, and the Taipei campus.

Best known for its military and historical significance in the Taiwan Strait, Kinmen Island also boasts fine examples of Fujian architecture, which students at the Kinmen Campus can enjoy.

MCU Computer Training

All MCU students are required to take six semesters of foundation courses in word processing, computer science and software applications which includes the most current widely accepted programs used worldwide. The final two semesters are tailored to applications specific to their chosen professions.

MCU English Training

EFL education is a hallmark for all non-English majors at Ming Chuan, from pre-matriculation to doctoral candidates. In recognition of the importance of English as an essential tool in the international arena, and to give the students a good language learning opportunity, all of our undergraduate students are required to earn 14 credits in "Practical English". These courses, combining classroom and laboratory interaction are taught in English by our large foreign language faculty to develop students' proficiency in the four skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. The focus of the curriculum is communicative proficiency so that all graduates may have lasting, basic English skills--basically fluent orally, moderately fluent in reading, with simple, usable, practical writing skills.
