Academic service
Applicants from abroad can request
university information and registration materials through
the International Education and Exchange Division <ihp@mcu.edu.tw>,
which also provides foreign student support and advising.
Graduates from MCU can contact the Alumni Office <alumni@mcu.edu.tw>
for assistance with academic matters.
Food Service
Chinese foods, snacks, sandwiches,
drinks, crackers and bakery items are available on all campuses,
along with stationery supplies and sundries. A variety of
meals and beverages are available throughout the day.
Dormitory Accommodations
The 7-storey student dormitory on
the Taipei campus contains 752 student beds arranged in
2-, 4- and 6-per room accommodations. Study and laundry
areas are provided. The Student Activities Center is located
in the basement and first floor of this building.
Three dormitories are available on
the Taoyuan campus. One, with 420 beds, is co-ed, with one
end for men and the other for women. The second and third
dormitories, have a combined total of 770 beds for female
students.
Health Services
Both Taipei and Taoyuan campuses
have health clinics to provide basic medical care, health
education and to promote a healthy environment to keep all
students, faculty and staff free from disease. Yearly physical
examinations are conducted for students on campus and medical
files are maintained on all students. First-aid training
is also provided every semester.
University Extension
Ming Chuan University Extension designs
and provides on-and off-campus courses, both credit and
non-credit for any interested group of persons or organization.
Both day and evening courses are available on topics related
to any of the degree-granting units. Tuition is calculated
on per-course, or per-block basis. A fee schedule is available
upon request. In addition to local courses, University Extension
<intl_edu@mcu.edu.tw>
also arranges international study tours for incoming and
outbound groups.
Physical Education Facilities
Ming Chuan offers students and faculty
facilities to enjoy soccer, basketball, track and field,
gymnastics, ping pong, handball, volleyball, badminton,
dance and weight training. Friendly sports competition between
Ming Chuan students and faculty, and also with students
of other colleges and universities is encouraged. Off-campus
arrangements are made for softball, tennis, golf, bowling,
billiards and swimming.
